Farm at work with
For The Better Good

For The Better Good creates a regenerative alternative to plastic bottles and packaging - all made from plants.

Their compostable water bottles break down in less than 25 days and turn into compost to fuel community gardens. They’ve created their own our closed-loop system too, with collection bins available nationwide, to take responsibility for everything they make and sell, and to ensure their products are disposed of correctly, back to the soil.

I visited one of their compost sites, a new urban micro-farm in Porirua, to capture the magic of the circular economy at work. The team has transformed a bowling green into this community garden where they’re growing a food forest to serve local residents.

I started in the early morning to take advantage of the light. Alternating between 35mm wide angle and 85mm lenses allowed for capturing establishing shots of the farm, and closeups of the masters at work. Thank you, Jess & Ian, for an inspiring day!
